Finalmente...

I am a student of the university "La Sapienza" in Rome...see the proof here (I look like a prisoner)...but I still dont know which courses I can take because no one was able to tell me...welcome to Italy!!
However, my room is pretty well connected with the city centre...several buses stop right in front of my house and one even goes straight to university....
This afternoon, I will go shopping and buy the stuff you need in una casa italiana...which means pasta, pasta, pasta...
And maybe I go to buy the same Ipod that I used to have but which I lost or has been stolen out of bag at the useless Cavalli party in Milano...and I need to study Italian since tomorrow at 9am I have the entry exam!!!! Ma sti cazzi...(which means "who cares" in Roman slang)....

VIVAAAA!!!!

Yesterday evening, I have been at Forte Prenestino for the The Adicts show. This place is pretty much the same as the Arena in Vienna has been some 15 years ago - a squatted former prison, turned into a kind of social centre full of punks, skinheads, strange people and dogs...but I immediately felt at home.
The Adicts were amazing on stage, they made me sing-a-long all their hits and jump like a little girl...their show is different - make-up, confetti, balloons, various shiny outfits....and at an average age of 50, they still how to know to make party!!

Today, I went to university again and guess what!? On the Erasmus office door it said you need 3 pictures and a copy of a document for the inscription....they couldnt tell me this before??!?!?! However, I left again because I arrived there 30mins before they closed without anything in my hands...so tomorrow again....it's gettin annoying

I have a HOME!!!

Finally, after 2 weeks of couches and other peoples' beds, I moved into my own room!!! It is beautiful and not expensive and the people who live here seem to be nice (but you can never know, we'll see...)
Now I feel relaxed because I can put my stuff into a closet and I have my own four walls...Im independent, no need to respect other peoples' homes...this is good for me because Im not used to be dependent on anyone...I used to live on my own in the last 5 years....so Im happy now...
And tonight there is a The Adicts show in Forte Prenestino, a social centre...I cant wait to celebrate!!!

Back to normality

After my freakout in Milan, I spend 2 days in Rome at my friend Sarita. We went out to meet some people and I went to the university for the first time, trying to subscribe to courses. I went to the first office at Villa Mirafiori but they sent me to the main university. There, the office was closed so I had to wait some hours for them to open. As soon as they opened, I went there but they told me they have closed and I need to go to another office anyway, which is only open on Monday!!!! So I didnt manage to arrange anything because all is closed...at least now I know where these offices are.
On Monday, I'll try again...

Fear and Loathing a Milano

First of all, I excuse myself for the long silence on this blog but unfortunately a lot of stuff happened...so this is kind of the first part...

Last weekend I went to Milan with Vanilla Sky..they played at the Roberto Cavalli-Coca Cola Light-MTV party there and i went with them...we had a nice day and some shopping at the American Appearel store...
The night of the show, there was a make-up artist for the guys and also me (see pic)...but the dangerous and devastating thing was free Cavalli vodka..so at some point I went a bit too drunk and too crazy....CAZART...

Being sick sucks, even more so when it has like 26 degrees&sunshine outside

Ok, great! It is my 4th day in Italy and I'm already sick. I got a pretty heavy cold, thanks God without high temperature. But my nose is dripping and I'm constantly wiping it. My head aches because it is full of snot. I have a creaky voice because the snot is running into my throat, infects my tonsils and blocks my upper lungs....mmhhh che bello! Francesco was so nice to go to the pharmacy for me...I tried to tell him what I needed but it's not so easy to make people understand what's wrong and what specific medicine I want...I hope he brings the right stuff...in the meanwhile, I will use all his cleanex....

Buy the ticket, take the ride

Hello everybody...

I guess people who read this know me. And also know the fact that I'm going to spend the next 5 months in Rome, Italy to study at the La Sapienza university and ultimately learn the Italian language. I'm also going to study the habits of the Italian people, this strange populace which in the rest of world doesnt take seriously...

I actually wasted my first day in Italy on sleep because I was so fucked up from the trip by train. When I had made up for all the missed sleep, Francesco took me for a ride with his Vespa...it is supposed to be THE scooter here but actually he seems to be the only one driving a real Piaggio...in red...che bella...

Yesterday I went for my first proper Italian breakfast, cappucino e un cornetto con nutella. I will get used to this pretty quickly...
And at the end of the day, I was lying in bed with a swollen throat...the price to pay for a fast Vespa ride....
